Continuing her domination of the music world, Taylor Swift gave fans who pre-ordered her forthcoming 1989 album a special treat today (October 14).
The “Should’ve Said No” songstress released her latest track “Out of the Woods” via iTunes this morning, telling USA Today, “I think it’s the greatest example of the sound of this album.”
Co-writer Jack Antonoff also explained, “I used a Yamaha DX7 a lot on that song, which is so uniquely Eighties, but then countered it with a super-distorted Minimoog Voyager in the chorus. That sounds extremely modern to me. It’s that back-and-forth.”
And as could be expected, “Out of the Woods” is already at the top of the iTunes singles chart, followed closely behind by her previous release “Shake It Off.”
