Susan Sarandon’s pet pooch has died.
The 73-year-old actress has been left heartbroken by the passing of her beloved hypoallergenic Pomeranian Maltese combine canine – known as Rigby – on Wednesday (08.01.20).
Taking to her Instagram account, Susan – who had Rigby for 14 years – uploaded a slideshow of images of her four-legged buddy and wrote: ”Today is a tragic day as a result of final night time, we misplaced our little Rigby. But we’re grateful to have loved her presence.
”She introduced a lot gentle, love and laughs into many peoples’ lives and he or she is missed. Thanks to the Heart of Chelsea Animal Hospital & Blue Pearl for his or her kindness and care care by the years and her remaining moments. (sic)”
The ‘Dead Man Walking’ star used to take her different canine Penny along with her to work, however left Rigby at residence as a result of she ”eats all the things she will discover – each wire, each tablet, something.”
It’s been a tough few months for Susan as again in November she was left with a fractured nostril, a black eye, a bruised knee and concussion after she suffered a ”little slip.”
The ‘Lovely Bones’ star’s damage meant she missed out on the possibility to hitch her most popular presidential candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders, on the marketing campaign path.
She revealed on the time: ”Slightly slip = concussion, fractured nostril, banged up knee. So, appears like I will not be capable to meet the parents in New Hampshire with Senator Sanders tomorrow. I’m actually sorry I’ll miss that chance.”
However, she later mentioned she felt ”fortunate” that she had Medicare to cowl her medical payments.
