Joining the network television trend, CBS picked up Warner Bros. TV’s “Supergirl.”
Based on the DC Comics legendary character, the drama will follow the story of Kara Zor-El from the planet Krypton – just like her cousin, Superman.
Supergirl, however, escaped the planet from its destruction many years ago and lives on Earth where she is forced to hide her powers.
In the CBS series, Supergirl is 24-years-old and decides to embrace her powers and be a hero for mankind.
The one-hour program is produced by Greg Berlanti of “Arrow” and “Flash.”
