Several months after Steve Harvey‘s infamous mistake at Miss Universe 2015, the talk-show host returned to the world of beauty pageants to share some advice to one of the co-hosts.
At any and all costs, it may be best to avoid the word Colombia.
“First thing I would tell you is no matter what happens, under no circumstances do you say Miss Colombia,” Steve shared with Terrence. “Just don’t go nowhere near it. Don’t mention Colombia, period. Coffee, nothing.”
What if the co-hosts have to say District of Columbia? Sorry, they can’t. What about Columbus, Ohio? No can do.

“Don’t say it. Stay away from it. Nothing,” Steve shared in the hilarious clip. “Shut your mouth.”
For those who managed to forget the live TV moment, Steve initially crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez as the winner of Miss Universe 2015. Things quickly took a turn, however, when Steve had another announcement.
“Okay folks, I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia,” he explained as the camera panned to finalists Miss USA and Miss Philippines. In other words, Miss Universe 2015 was actually Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
Soon after, Steve delivered a tearful apology to both contestants and owned up about his mistakes.
“This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me,” he shared on his self-titled talk show. “I didn’t do any interviews until I could talk to the two people who were affected the most, Pia and Ariadna. No matter how tough it was for me, I can’t imagine how it was for these two women. This finally gives me a chance to have a moment of closure.”
Ultimately, everyone has been able to forgive and move forward. That still doesn’t mean the word should be used.
“What if by chance one of the girls says the word?” Terrence asked. Steve answered, “Then you run. Just take off. Run. Don’t be in the same room. Listen to somebody, you know? Just run.”
Miss USA airs Sunday night at 7 p.m. only on Fox.
