Shia LaBeouf Responds To Jim Carrey’s Golden Globe Diss But Quickly Apologises After Attacking Comedian’s Parenting Skills

In a response to Jim Carrey’s Golden Globe diss, Shia LeBeouf accuses the comedian of being a bad parent but quickly apologises and bows out of his twitter rant.

Jim Carrey took to the stage at the Golden Globes to present ‘American Hustle’ as a nominee for the ‘Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy’ award.

But the comedian wanted to get something off his chest and openly dissed actor Shia LeBeouf in front of the crowd of A-listers.

Carey said, “Dying is easy, comedy is hard. I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that,” he jokingly quipped to the laughing audience. “So young, so wise.”

The 51 year-old targeted LeBeouf due to him plagiarising the work of graphic novelist Daniel Clowes in his short film ‘Howard Cantour.com’.

While dealing with the backlash he received for copying another artist’s work, LeBeouf claimed to have had it with the bright lights of Hollywood.

“In light of recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life,” he tweeted. “My love goes out to those who have supported me.”

The 27 year-old actor wasn’t present at Sunday’s ceremony but did hear the insult as he took to twitter to air his response. “If you explain @JimCarrey you’ve killed him, Nobody knows if it’s for real or not. That way he’s immortal,” Shia posted.

The former Disney star then became very personal as he posted a video of Carey’s daughter’s band ‘The Jane Carrey Band’, and then blasted the ‘Ace Venture’ actor’s parenting skills.

“At least I don’t get arrested for indecency on major LA highways! Or abandon love child’s,” he wrote.

In typical Shia LeBeouf style, he deleted the offensive tweet and seemed to have a sudden change of heart as he wrote an apology to Carey (once again on twitter).

“Jim Carrey states that he is deeply involved in his daughter’s life—I accept that. Regret tweet on the matter. Apologies to both parents.” He then followed this tweet up with “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE.”

Intriguingly, the ‘Lawless’ actor has 94,000 followers but only choses to follow one person on twitter, Jim’s daughter ‘Jane Carey.
