He’s one of the funniest actors of his generation, but not even Seth Rogen wants the pressure of entertaining the guests at Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding.
During his interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the “Neighbors” stud discussed the fact that the groom invited him and James Franco to perform their spoof of “Bound 2” at the reception.
Rogen noted, “Me and Franco got a call. [West] said that he was thinking it may be funny if we performed it at the wedding and we came out on a motorcycle, and then we were like, ‘And then what do we do?’ And then we were all like, ‘I don’t know!’ And then we were like, ‘That’s probably not gonna be very funny’ because [West is] like, ‘Then I’m just rapping with you and James Franco on a motorcycle for five minutes.’”
“And thank God [we] kind of realized that it might not be the best idea. But if he wanted me there I would have been there naked, with a shirt off, however he wanted me, on a motorcycle, doing whatever he needed.”
As for the origin of the parody, Seth explained, “We were so taken by [the ‘Bound 2’ video] that we actually literally the next morning started filming our own version of it. And then we kind of realized, like, ‘Oh, we can do it exactly how they did it, like literally moment for moment, shot for shot.’ And then once we realized that, we kind of became obsessed with getting it perfect, like every — even the lighting — and like I would try to nuzzle the same way she nuzzled. And there’s a few — we could have done it a bit better — but it’s pretty good.”
