Yesterday was a bad day for the hipsters, as Back to the Future fans were kept waiting for an announcement about the Secret Cinema screening in London that never happened. The eventual cancellation of the scheduled event left a lot of disgruntled fans, some of whom had none refundable travel and hotel expenses, having arrived in London specifically for the event.
Let’s just pretend the successful screening’s timeline was destroyed.
The company issued a couple of statements – one on Thursday and one on Friday morning, promising a longer explanation later in the day. “We regret the disappointment we’ve created for those that were meant to be at the show tonight and would like to confirm that all ticket holders can either rebook for another date or receive a full refund for tonight’s performance.”
Ticket holders can email info@secretcinema.org to either reschedule or get a refund on their tickets.
The second statement from Secret Cinema read simply: “Secret Cinema and all parties involved have been working urgently through the night to resolve the issues on site. We will issue a fuller statement shortly.”

Neither statement clarified what kind of “issues on site” had prevented the screening, but ticket holders were quick to express their disappointment on Twitter.
