Saturday Night Live‘s ratings continue to slide post-election. Last night’s show, with host Emma Stone and musical guest Shawn Mendes, drew a 4.4 Live+same day rating in the metered market households and a 2.1 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. These are new season lows for the sketch comedy program, whose previous lowest marks this fall were logged by the previous SNL original on Nov. 19 hosted by Kristen Wiig (4.7, 2.2).
Still, SNL is running ahead of last year. Last night’s episode was up by +7% in households and +5% in 18-49 vs. the show’s telecast on the same night in 2015.
SNL is getting extra attention these days because of President-elect Donald Trump’s Twitter jibes almost every time he is impersonated on the show by Alec Baldwin, including last night.
