Robin Wright is making her film directorial debut on ‘Land’.
The 53-year-old actress is ready to helm her first feature-length movie after directing a number of episodes of the Netflix present ‘House of Cards’ – by which she performs First Lady-turned-President Claire Underwood, a task which has earned her a Gold Globe award.
Robin may also star within the film which has been penned by Liz Hannah and Jesse Chatham and follows Edee (Wright), a lawyer who takes herself off the grid and travels to probably the most unpopulated space within the United States, dwelling in a cabin within the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming.
Using solely recommendation from on-line survivalists she should be taught to hunt fish and develop her meals as she faces brutal winters, a difficult panorama and lethal native wildlife – after crossing paths with Joseph, a First Nations native, who’s but to be solid, Edee begins to cope with her issues and ”shock herself along with her personal will to outlive”.
HanWay Films has picked up the worldwide gross sales rights and can start gross sales at Cannes pageant whereas Cinetic Media and CAA will deal with North American rights.
