Dear everyone who has been tirelessly memorizing Rihanna‘s new lyrics to bust out during her concert—you have some more time.
The singer has pushed the start date of her Anti world tour, which was originally slated to kick off on Feb. 26 in San Diego, and instead will begin the tour on March 12 in Jacksonville, Fla. Additionally, RiRi has rescheduled eight dates for May including gigs in San Diego, Oakland, San Jose, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix and New Orleans.
So why all the changes? A source tells E! News the Barbados beauty and her team are apparently experiencing production delays with the show. Womp, womp.
Travis Scott will be on tour with her as the opening act for the North America leg, while The Weeknd and Big Sean will be headed to join Rihanna for her two-month stint in Europe, which is schedule to begin in April.

The news of the delay comes on the heels of Rihanna canceling her Grammy Awards performance last minute. Unfortunately, the singer had to bow out of her appearance as a health precaution.
“Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” the rep told E! News at the time. “The antibiotics she has been on for 3-days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.”
RiRi tweeted after the fact, telling fans, “#NAVY so sorry I couldn’t be there ….. Thanks Grammys and CBS for your support tonight.”
It was even a bigger bummer after we found out what the celeb had in store for the show. James Corden revealed that he was meant to be part of Rihanna’s set and shared a few details about what she had in mind on CBS’ The Late Late Show Monday.
“A couple of weeks ago, I got asked if I would introduce Rihanna on the show,” he revealed to his studio audience. “I get this phone call saying Rihanna has got this big thing planned for her song ‘Kiss It Better’ and she’s doing like a whole ’80s talk show thing and it’s going to be really cool. What she wants you to do is be like an ’80s talk show host and I’d have funny glasses and sit on a thing, maybe have a cigarette, and I’d introduce Rihanna, and she’d come out and do a song and then at the end she’d come and sit with me, like it was it’s own talk show which they called As It Lays. So, I go on Saturday morning and I rehearse it there. She’s a bit under the weather but it’s all going to be OK.”
Perhaps this idea can come to life on tour? Just a thought.
