Richard Curtis would not have written any of his movies had been it not for the music of The Beatles.
The 62-year-old screenwriter – who is thought for his hit romantic comedies ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, ‘Notting Hill’ and ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ amongst others – just lately penned Danny Boyle’s newest movie ‘Yesterday’ which follows a struggling musician Jack (Himesh Patel) as he wakes as much as uncover he is the one one that remembers The Beatles.
The ‘Love Actually’ author confessed that was it not for the enduring 60s band, he ”would not have written all of my romantic films” and insisted his newest movie is the ”good” mixture of his romantic fashion and love of music.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he stated: ”I believe with out the Beatles I would not have written all of my romantic films. So it was type of good entry of my romance and the individuals who impressed it.
”It was so enjoyable to jot down about The Beatles as a result of every time I bought out of concepts I might go to their catalogue and every little thing would get thrice higher.
”My world with out the Beatles in it I’d by no means have gotten any presents as a child as a result of that is all I requested for.”
The ‘About Time’ creator went on to reward Danny, 62, in addition to solid members and Himesh Patel and Lily James – who performs Jack’s childhood good friend Ellie Appleton.
He stated: ”I like Lily I did Mamma Mia [Here We Go Again] along with her and she or he’s only a complete pleasure, Himesh Patel thank god he exists as a result of it was gonna be actually laborious to solid the lead on this film.
