Rebel Wilson is ready to speak out in support of new gun laws.

Shortly after news broke of a shooting inside a movie theatre in Lafayette, La., many Americans began to share their thoughts on gun control.

But for the Pitch Perfect actress, she decided to give followers a perspective from someone who has lived in Australia with far stricter regulations.

“I don’t like getting political but America you really have to follow Australia’s example re gun laws,” she shared on Twitter. “I don’t remember a mass shooting in Australia since they overhauled the gun laws.”

She added, “It seems like every week in America there’s a shooting.”

Wilson isn’t the first A-list Hollywood star to speak out following the tragic events. After multiple outlets reported that the shooting occurred during a screening of Trainwreck, the movie’s stars spoke out online.

“My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana,” Amy Schumer tweeted hours after the news first broke. Director Judd Apatow also penned an emotional statement soon after.

“One of the reasons we make these movies is because the world can be so horrifying and we all need to laugh just to deal with it,” he said in a statement to CNBC. “So to have this happen in a room where people were smiling and laughing devastates me. My thoughts and love go out to the victims and anyone touched by this madness or any madness.  We, as a country, need to find a way to do better.”

What everyone in Hollywood can agree on is the simple fact that theatres should be a safety zone, instead of a danger one.

“I just want people to be safe, especially people that are doing one of my favorite things in the WORLD,” Wilson concluded. “Going out to the movies 2 have fun.”

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to those affected by the tragedy.
