The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge just placed first—not once but twice—in a recent fitness competition, so it’s safe to say she’s pretty well-versed when it comes to getting in shape.

The reality star sat down with E! News’ Zuri Hall, and, of course, we couldn’t help but find out her secret for getting motivated to tone up and feel great.

“What helps is if you set a goal,” Judge revealed. “Even if it’s like, ‘I’m going to do a photo shoot in six weeks, and I have to get to this in so many weeks.’ Goal. Set a goal for yourself. Do a race, do a competition. Do something like that because you know you have to be your best and it keeps you in check.”

However, she advises against anyone trying to maintain the level of intensity in their diet as she did when she headed into competition—which she once said was “eating to live, not living to eat.”

She explained, “It’s not possible to stay in that competition body forever. It’s just not sustainable. You’re really cutting out all of your carbs, and you need carbs.”

And speaking of carbs, now that Judge is a few months beyond her competition and won’t be competing again until November, she’s definitely been enjoying some cheat foods.

“Pizza. Anything with bread,” she told us about her favorites. “I could just eat dough all day long.”

Oddly enough, though, alcohol isn’t one of her cravings. “I thought that was the first I would want,” she admitted. “I thought I’d want wine. You know what, being away from it for so long and then just having a drink, it’s not what I thought it was.”

Well, skipping the booze is certainly doing well for her. She lost 11 percent body fat and gained 11 percent of lean muscle during training!
