Piers Morgan has landed a new role, as a permanent member of the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenting team. Morgan will appear on the morning show three days a week alongside co-host Susanna Reid, starting in November.

Speaking about the role Morgan told MailOnline ‘’I am very excited at the prospect of waking up at 3am every morning, and even more excited by the thought of how annoying Susanna is going to find me after a few months.”

“’Good Morning Britain’ is a great show with a terrific team on and off screen. I’m looking forward to it enormously,” Morgan added. The 50 year old previously enjoyed a hosting stint on the show back in April and July, when he stepped in for Ben Shepherd who was on holiday.
“We loved having Piers on the show earlier this year, so we’re delighted that he’s joining us permanently,” ITV director of daytime, Helen Warner, said. “He is an excellent interviewer and a great broadcaster, who fits in brilliantly with ‘GMB’s’ family of presenters.”
“We’re proud of the strong show we’ve been building over the last 18 months and that audience figures are up some seven per cent year-on-year,” ITV Studios managing director of daytime, Emma Gormley, added. “We look forward to continuing that growth with Piers as part of the team.”

Morgan is best known for his time as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and subsequently ‘America’s Got Talent’. After moving his career Stateside he hosted ‘Piers Morgan Live’ on CNN from 2011 to 2014. He is also the host of British talk show ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’ on ITV.
