Paddington arrives next week as the first family film of 2015, and, as I say in my video review above, is could be the year’s best and live on as a classic.
Writer-director Paul King adapts the classic kids book series by Michael Bond into a whimsical and charming film starring Ben Whishaw as the voice of the title character, a jungle bear who comes to London and perks up the lives of a local family. Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins play the parents, and Nicole Kidman clearly is enjoying herself as a villainous taxidermist with her evil eye on our hero.
The Weinstein Company opens Paddington on January 16. Take a look at my review and let us know if you and the family are planning to see it.
