It was a record-breaking week on The Voice—seven of the top ten songs on the iTunes singles chart were from the finalists’ Monday night performances. Only Adele and Justin Bieber could break through the Voice domination, with Jordan Smith, Barrett Baber, Madi Davis, Emily Ann Roberts, Jeffery Austin, Amy Vachal and Shelby Brown all claiming spots in the top ten. But despite their great showing, someone still had to go home.
Beware, results are below!
For the third week in a row, Korin Bukowski wound up in the bottom two and had to fight for her life with the Twitter Save. This week, however, was kind of a worst nightmare situation. The 19-year-old singer stumbled during her rendition of “Try,” forgetting the words multiple times throughout the song.
But she gallantly finished the tune, and despite tearing up after, received very kind words (and a standing ovation) from the coaches. “The four of us sitting here—that’s happened to all of us,” Blake Shelton told her, adding, “I will not be surprised to see you saved again this week because of what you’ve laid out there.”

Unfortunately, despite a close vote, it was her fellow Team Gwen member Braiden Sunshine who managed to make it through with a performance of Maroon 5’s “Harder to Breathe.” “Fantastic! You have the best taste ever. That’s a back against the wall song,” Adam Levine told the contestant. “I wrote that song with my back against the wall and that’s exactly what it should be used for.”
The results show featured performances by R. City and Levine, with their hit “Locked Away,” and Sia, who sang “Alive.” (No, she didn’t show her face.)
Here’s who’s left in the running in the Top 9—and just a reminder, next week’s results show is going to be a bloodbath as five (yes, five!) singers will be cut.
