As its original portfolio continues to expand at a breakneck speed, Netflix has added another development executive to its Original Series team. Tara Flynn has joined the Internet network where she will be working primarily on drama series, reporting to Peter Friedlander. (Netflix executives oversee both development and current series.)
Flynn comes to Netflix from Fox 21 TV Studios where she was VP Creative Affairs. Her last day was Friday. Flynn was promoted to VP last Ddecember, shortly after the merger of Fox 21 and Fox TV Studios. She previously had been at Fox 21 where she worked on such shows as Homeland, Sons Of Anarchy, Salem and Legends. Before going to Fox 21, Flynn did a stint at ABC Studios.
At Netflix, Flynn joins several other linear TV network/studio executives who made the transition to streaming, including Jane Wiseman and Andrew Weil on the comedy side.
