Miley Cyrus paid tribute to the King of Rock and Roll tonight.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer wore an all-white ensemble as host of the opening of W magazine’s Shooting Stars exhibit.
The ensemble included a very low cut cape-like top, an oversized gold buckle and pants that flared at the bottom.
“I was thinking this was very Elvis Presley,” Cyrus told me. “I thought it felt right because it was just his 80th birthday.”
The pop star arrived about an hour into the just two-hour bash, which took place at the Wilshire May Co. Building (aka the future home of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Museum.)
Large posters of celeb portraits from the pages of W hung from the walls of the all black room. Cyrus joined the mag’s editor in chief Stefano Tonchi in front of a pic of herself and mugged for the cameras.

After chatting and taking countless selfies with an assorted array of fans and friends, she squeezed her through the packed crowd back toward the front entrance.
“I want to find my boyfriend and then get a drink,” she said.
Cyrus didn’t have much luck locating Patrick Schwarzenegger so she headed back to the entrance. While it looked like she was about to leave, she turned on her heel and headed back inside.
After a few minutes, she and Schwarzenegger reunited before being ushered into a private area behind black curtains.
The pre-Golden Globes bash also included guests Hailee Steinfeld, designer Jason Wu, Joy Bryant, Rachel Zoe, Bai Ling, Rose McGowan and performance artist Marina Abramović, who is curating tomorrow night’s Heaven Gala benefit for The Art of Elysium.
The Shooting Stars exhibit, presented by Hugo Boss and supported by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, runs through Feb. 22.
