bright but not too much, flexible and good value for $,
We purchased this for a music stand. We needed it to be flexible enough to bend downward illuminating the paperwork while not blinding people on the other side of the stand. It works great. It has two levels of brightness and so far easy on the eyes. It shipped quickly, arrived well packaged and we’re happy pickers. Not a book light, but a task light. We recommend it.

Great Music Stand Lighting!,
First, I also own the Mighty Bright Orchestra Stand light, which I really like!!! I bought the Mighty Bright HammerHead light for my wife to use on her music stand, as she typically prefers light/small items to carry around. I knew how well my Orchestra Light worked, so figured this smaller light would be “adequate”. However, what I discovered is there is really very little difference in amount and/or brightness of the light, when compared to the larger and more expensive MB Orchestra light. The only real difference I see is that the Orchestra light has a little wider spread/coverage than the HammerHead. So, for half the cost of the MB Orchestra light you get 95% of the performance when compared to the larger and more expensive Orchestra light. The HammerHead is SO LIGHT I’m very tempted to get one for myself for my regular use and save the Orchestra light for those occasions when I really require the extra wide coverage! EXCELLENT light for reading music…and VERY LIGHT WEIGHT so it would be good as a book clip-on light, as well!!!! Buy this light if you need a great music stand light!!!!
