Sir Michael Palin obtained his knighthood from Prince William at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (12.06.18) and was quizzed by the royal about his upcoming travels.
The 76-year-old actor – who was recognised for his companies to journey, tradition and geography – has turn into the primary member of the famend Monty Python comedy troupe to obtain the accolade, which is a title awarded by Queen Elizabeth for companies to the United Kingdom.
Palin – who obtained a CBE in 2000 for his TV work – was thrilled to be awarded the knighthood for his post-comedy profession as a journey documentary maker, which has taken him all around the world and most not too long ago to North Korea.

Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Terry Jones are the opposite surviving members of the Monty Python comedy troupe. Graham Chapman, the sixth member, died in 1989 on the age of 48.
