Mel Gibson is to become a father for the ninth time at the age of 60. The actor’s girlfriend of two years, 26-year-old Rosalind Ross, is reportedly pregnant with her first child and the couple are said to be ‘excited’ at the news.

A source told People magazine: “Mel and Rose are so excited about the baby. Mel loves being a dad and he and Rose can’t wait to be parents together. The last two years have been some of his happiest years he’s ever had.”

Mel is already a father to eight children, most of whom are older than Rosalind. He has seven children with ex-wife Robyn Moore: Hannah, 36, twin boys Christian and Edward, 34, William, 31, Louis, 28, Milo, 26, and Thomas, 17, as well as six-year-old daughter, Lucia with former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Rosalind is a former equestrian champion who is now working as a screenwriter. In January the couple went public with their romance and were pictured leaving the Golden Globes hand-in-hand.
Earlier this year a source told People: “Dating Rosalind is keeping him healthy. She is a total catch and Mel has been very well-behaved. She is great for him. In the past year, Mel spent a lot of time in Australia and Rosalind has joined him.”

“She has her own life, but also seems to enjoy Mel’s. Although Rosalind is much younger, they are still very much on the same page. She likes to live a more quiet life,” the source added. “They work, travel and spend time at home in Malibu together.”
