Though she’s always been known for her killer vocal chops, Mariah Carey was far from her best during last night’s (December 3) “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special on NBC.
Rather than pre-recording her performance, the “Honey” songstress opted to sing live, and her voice clearly wasn’t up to her usual sterling standards.
After the gig, fans took to Twitter to express their opinions about Carey’s crooning with tweets like, “RIP Mariah Carey’s Voice.”
Other posts included, “Poor #MariahCarey. Poor, poor girl. It was so bad I don’t even wanna @ her, I don’t want her seeing this. #rockefellercenter,” and, “What happened to #MariahCarey? I’m watching her on this Christmas show & she can’t sing anymore! She’s totally winded! That was painful!”
