The man who was exposed earlier this week as the troll who repeatedly mocked Katie Price’s disabled son Harvey online has lost his job, according to a former colleague of the offender.
30 year old Mark Williams, from the town of Thornaby in Teesside, sent a series of cruel and racially offensive messages to Price over a number of months, mocking her 14 year son Harvey’s Prader-Willi syndrome.
Despite deleting over 3,000 tweets hastily from his account having been unmasked, it seems that Williams’ actions didn’t sit particularly well with his employer, who terminated his contract of employment with them.
An individual who claims to have known Williams at RT Windows, a window manufacturing firm where he is believed to have worked, told The Sun on Thursday (January 26th): “He no longer works here. He got sacked today. We don’t know much about it but we were told this morning he’s definitely gone.”

Reports also indicated that Williams had sent several abusive messages to other celebrities, such as Cheryl and Taylor Swift, and to gay people, many of them said to be homophobic in content. One of his messages also voiced support for the footballer Adam Johnson, jailed last year for statutory rape.

Williams himself confirmed that his actions had led to his loss of employment, after Price’s efforts to catch the individual behind the messages was supported by The Sun.
“This has led to me losing my job which I have always been fully dedicated to and deeply saddened to no longer be a part of the team. I don’t condole [sic] bullying and I never thought, for one moment, my tasteless comments would cause so much hurt and anger… I am deeply disappointed and ashamed of my actions and it is only now I realise that my actions truly are unacceptable.”
