EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has learned that Westworld actor Louis Herthum and Shamier Anderson have joined the cast LAbyrinth, the crime drama toplined by Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker. Helmed by Brad Furman, the pic follows disgraced LAPD detective and journalist Jack Jackson on a hunt to solve the Tupac-Notorious B.I.G murders, which threatens to crack the foundation of the police department.
Herthum, who plays a city attorney who defends Poole on trial, is coming off recurring as Evan Rachel Wood’s father on the first season of HBO’s new series, Westworld. He recently wrapped filming opposite Stana Katic and Shay Mitchell in Screen Gems’ horror film Cadaver and also recurs on Longmire. He is repped by AKA Talent Agency and Main Title.
LAbyrinth is based on a 2015 Black List script by Christian Contreras. Good Films are producing the film, which is currently shooting in LA. Miramax and Open Road Films are co-prodicing.
Anderson will play corrupt LAPD officer David “D. Mack” Mack, one of the officers implicated in the conspiracy to murder B.I.G. and a central figure in the LAPD Rampart police corruption scandal. He can be seen Agent Dolls on the Syfy series Wynonna Earp, currently shooting its second season, and next will be in Fox’s upcoming miniseries Shots Fired. Anderson is repped by OAZ and Industry Entertainment.
