Kristin Cavallari has hit back at people who have suggested that her children are underweight and that she’s starving them.
The 29 year old former reality TV star, famous for her role on ‘The Hills’, posted a picture of herself with her two eldest children – three year old Camden and two year old Jaxon – on the beach with her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, over the Fourth of July weekend.
However, many Instagram commenters noticed the kids’ shoulder blades looking very prominent, and decided right then and there that it was evidence that Cavallari was not giving her kids enough to eat.
“Sorry that the truth hurts. But the poor child’s bones are popping out,” one user commented. “Instead of getting mad at everyone for being alarmed look in to the child’s diet.”
“You’re a terrible mother,” another added. Ouch!
“Yep, I starve my children,” she sarcastically commented on her own post. “Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”

Cavallari is known to be keen on nutrition, even publishing a book on the subject earlier in 2016. Commenters put two and two together, and assumed that Camden and Jaxon’s physique was down to enforced veganism. Even though Cavallari isn’t vegan.
On Monday (July 11th), she added to the haters via her Twitter account: “I love that people are sending me articles about the dangers of being a vegan. Maybe send it to someone that’s actually vegan!”

It isn’t the first time her parenting choices have come in for criticism. Many people condemned her in March 2014 when she revealed in a Fox Business interview that she refused to have her eldest child vaccinated.
“There are very scary statistics out there regarding what is in vaccines and what they cause — asthma, allergies, ear infections, all kinds of things. And we feel like we’re making the best decision for our kids,” she said back then. “Here’s the thing: At the end of the day, I’m just a mom. I’m trying to make the best decision for my kid.”
