Kim Kardashian Debuts Blond Hair Again Before Mother’s Day

Kim Kardashian is back to blond…for now.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star debuted her new lighter, sleeked back look on Snapchat Saturday evening, a day before Mother’s Day, while her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic also shared photos of her ‘do on his own Snapchat and his Instagram page.

Kim is still showing dark roots, so it is unclear if she had her hair dyed or if she is wearing hair extensions, a weave or a wig, which she has done in the past.

She also shared on Snapchat a video of husband Kanye West napping on a couch.

“What a sexy husband I have,” she said. “He works so hard. This is what he does when I’m working.”

The next morning, on Mother’s Day, Kim posted on Snapchat videos of a sweet surprise: She and her family were woken by a large group of female violinists and cellists in their living room. Could this be Kanye’s doing?

Kim posted photos and videos of their performance, including a clip of 2-year-old daughter North West, her and Kanye’s eldest child, watching from upstairs. A woman with dark hair and cornrows is holding the girl, so if it is Kim, her blonde ‘do was very short-lived.

The musicians played songs such as “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen and “It’s The Hard Knock Life” from the musical Annie, which was also sampled by Kanye’s pal Jay Z in his 1998 single “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem).”

Kim, a natural brunette, has sported blond hair several times over the years and has said she planned on going back to blonde again.

In February, two months after giving birth to her and Kanye’s second child, son Saint West, Kim sported a long, blond wig this past February in honor of the rapper’s Yeezy Season 3 collection debut at Madison Square Garden.

Last year, Kim had had her signature long hair cut to her shoulders and later had it dyed platinum blond during Paris Fashion Week. Days later, she had her locks lightened to a white blond shade, similar to Frozen‘s Queen Elsa. She kept the look for several weeks before reverting back to her typical dark style in anticipation of her family trip to Armenia.

“I wish I had kept it a couple months longer,” she told E! News’ Catt Sadler at the time. “I’ll do it again, but I’m going to have to wait now a couple years because it just damaged my hair so much—I just need to get it back.”

This past March, Kim posted a censored, nude mirror selfie taken when she sported her 2015 blond haircut. The pic sparked some criticism, although the reality star was also defended publicly by celebs such as Ariel Winter and Emily Ratajkowski, who also posed for a censored topless mirror selfie with Kim in solidarity.

Kim had also had sported blonde hair in September 2013, months after giving birth to her and Kanye’s first child, daughter North West. She went back to her dark locks months later but said she missed her lighter tresses. In June 2014, she shocked fans when she debuted a honey blond ‘do, which she later said was a wig.
