Kate Middleton can do all things: play soccer in heels and a dress, shoot a bow and arrow, wear multiple flawless outfits within hours of each other, and now it appears she can also fly…well, sort of.
The mother-of-two was photographed walking beside Prince William and Prince Harry while attending a service in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme earlier this week, and some people noticed something interesting about the pic: she appears to be levitating!
Yes, if you look closely at her feet in the photo, they look like they’re lifted off the ground as she walks on air, which sparked quite a bit of confusion for people.
However, it’s simply an optical illusion caused by a combination of the color of the ground in contrast to her shoes, her position in relation to other people in the photo and the moment the picture was captured.
Of course, if you’d rather let your imagination run wild, we won’t judge you and your belief in levitating Kate.
Meanwhile, the royal family spent a few days at the Thiepval Memorial in France as they paid tribute to over 70,000 missing servicemen who died in the Battle of Somme and have no grave. They joined French President Francois Hollande as well as Prime Minister David Cameron for the events.
Kate donned two beautiful ensembles, perfectly fitting for her time in France. On the first night, she wore an eye-catching grey chevron coat designed by Missoni. The next day she followed it up with another printed look, wearing a lace cream frock adorned with a Peter Pan collar, dark contrast underlay and a subtle peplum waist. She accessorized the ensemble with a statement fascinator—a Philip Treacy black hat she’s sported a handful of times before.
