Season 9 of “The Big Bang Theory” premieres today, September 21, and actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting decided to mark the moment by sharing a sweet Instagram.
Cuoco-Sweeting’s character, Penny, is marrying Leonard (Johnny Galecki) in the premiere, and posted a photo of the two at the altar. The actress captioned the shot, “We’re back baby!!! Don’t forget to tune into @bigbangtheory_cbs tonight — I mean it when I say, I’ve wanted for this moment since the pilot nine years in the making!!”
Galecki is pictured wearing a gray suit with a brown tie, while Cuoco-Sweeting is shown wearing a short pink dress with black straps and a veil.
Incidentally, Cuoco-Sweeting also wore a pink wedding dress for her real-life nuptials to tennis player Ryan Sweeting last year.
Though Cuoco-Sweeting has been happily married since 2014, many have wondered what it’s like to work with her ex-boyfriend, Galecki, on the show.
Cuoco-Sweeting sat with Andy Cohen of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” and said her husband “loves” Galecki. Phew!
