The Oscar-winning screenwriter, who has penned a string of acclaimed screenplays, including Moneyball, Steve Jobs, A Few Good Men, and Charlie Wilson’s War, is developing a big screen adaptation of poker madam Molly Bloom’s memoir.
The film will chronicle the story of the professional skier who hosted illegal invite-only poker games in Los Angeles, where guests included celebrities Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tobey Maguire. She was arrested by the FBI and sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to forfeit $ 125,000 (£87,175) in 2014.
Chastain, who recently launched her own production company, Freckle Films, is reportedly the frontrunner for the titular role, but hasn’t started official negotiations. According to TheWrap.com, Chastain is trying to figure out how to fit the movie into her schedule.
It is unclear when the film is slated to begin shooting.
