When the news of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce broke it seemed as if the internet had been ready and waiting with memes featuring Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. A sea of Aniston gifs flooded Twitter on Tuesday, dragging her unwittingly into the middle of Hollywood’s biggest divorce and reportedly leaving her fleeing LA for New York.

On Thrusday Aniston was pictured arriving in New York, with reports stating that she had to get out of Los Angeles because of the press attention ever since Pitt and Jolie announced their marriage was over.

Aniston, who is married to actor Justin Theroux, has also faced speculation over her own marriage after InTouch weekly published a story saying she was headed for divorce too. However a rep for Aniston has told Mirror.co.uk that the magazine’s story is “a complete fabrication”.
It has also been reported by US Weekly that Aniston reacted to the news of her ex husband’s divorce by calling it ‘karma’. An insider told the magazine that Aniston said “Yeah, that’s karma for you!” while discussing the news with a longtime friend.
“She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” the insider added. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”

A second source told the mag that while Aniston “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” she also “never wanted this for them or wished this on them. Jen does wish Brad luck and the best. She feels like she’s happy, and she wants him to be happy too,” the second insider added. “Jen does not hold on to any negativity from her marriage to Brad.”
