At least one person is happy that Brad Pitt has recently become single again, with Britney Spears admitting that she still has a crush on the actor during a casual interview on Australian television this week.
The 34 year old pop queen, on the comeback trail with her first album in three years, was speaking on Australia’s ‘Today Show’ on Thursday morning (October 6th) and was asked about her first celebrity crush.
“My first celebrity crush was Brad Pitt,” she replied with a big smile. “He’s single now!”

Keen Britney fans will know that she has held a little candle for the World War Z actor for quite some time. Back in 2003, during an interview with Diane Sawyer, a then-21-year-old Spears was asked about a picture of Pitt that she used to keep on her nightstand.
“We shouldn’t share that. I’m embarrassed,” she said at the time. “That’s my little thing!”

Then, in 2005, at around the time of Pitt’s divorce from Jennifer Aniston when he was getting together with Jolie, she spoke about him again on her former reality TV show, ‘Britney and Kevin: Chaotic’.
“We found out that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up. So I have a feeling that he’s thinking about me… Just playing,” she told the camera. “He probably wouldn’t even look my way. I don’t care, ’cause we can dream. We can dream!”
Spears is currently single, having extricated herself from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline in 2006. She shares her two sons, 11 year old Jayden James and 10 year old Sean Preston, with him. However, she said last week during an interview on British magazine show ‘Loose Women’ that she’s happy with single life at the moment.
