They’re all about flaunting their relationship, though when Ireland Baldwin’s girlfriend Angel Haze made some inflammatory comments in an interview, many folks got a bad impression.
In her chat with The Independent, Haze stated, “An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We f*ck and friends don’t f*ck. I have never f*cked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen. I don’t know if there’s like some confirm or deny thing with the way relationships work in the media, but everyone just calls us best friends, best friends for life, like we’re just friends hanging out. It’s funny. It’s rad in some ways, it sucks in others.”
Following backlash, Baldwin jumped onto her Twitter account to post a series of statements in support of her rapper lover.
She tweeted, “Making this about race or the fact that were both women is rather outdated. This is a new world we live in people. Our private life should be respected as well. A lot of claims have been recently posted that we’re never said. reporters like to take our words, alter them to their benefit and run [sic]. It’s not cool. We’re happy. We’re healthy. That’s all that matters.”
