After taking a break from Twitter last month rapper Iggy Azalea is in no hurry to return to the social media site, even hinting that she may never come back. “Yeah, so nice not to be on social media so I’m kind of going to continue that until, maybe forever,” Azalea told the Associated Press in a interview on Thursday.
Don’t expect Iggy Azalea to be tweeting again any time soon
In her last message to fans on her Twitter account, Azalea announced her exit saying, “I am taking some time away from social media. I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining.” The rapper’s social media accounts have since been updated by her management team, posting as ‘Iggy HQ’.
Recently Azalea has also made headlines after postponing her tour just months before its scheduled start date, moving all shows to the fall. The official reason for the rescheduling was said to be due to production delays which mean the now the tour wont be beginning until September.

In the meantime the rapper is busy working on her follow up to album The New Classic, which could even reach us by the end of the year. “I didn’t anticipate having any time to completely finish it, but now that I have kind of the time,” Azalea said. “I’d love to have an album at the end of 2015,” she added.
What Azalea is sure of, however, is that her Britney Spears collaboration ‘Pretty Girls’ will be the sophomore album’s first single. ”I love Britney. She’s super sweet and I just want to hang out with her all the time,” she said. “I saw her at Toys “R” Us randomly; she lives right down the street from me. …Since I’ve met her now we keep bumping into each other in the street.”

Speaking about the track Azalea dished, “I don’t know if I needed re-inspiring, but it’s just made me extra excited to want to put out new music.”
Adding that her debut album encountered many problems after being pushed back numerous times, Azalea said she wanted her next record to sound like less of a struggle. “I hope it’s a little bit more up-tempo and just really fun,” the 24 year old said. “I just want to have something so summer and so girly, so loud and obnoxious and braggadocios.”
