Idris Elba ”actually needs” to star in a romantic comedy.
The 46-year-old actor has beforehand landed movies with a ”little bit” of romance, he would ”love” to do a ”a real to type” light-hearted film with a love story at its core.
In an interview with Newsweek, he stated: ”I actually need to do a romantic comedy. I have not completed that.
”I’ve completed ‘Daddy’s Little Girls’ and there was a bit of little bit of that in it, however a real to type romance comedy is one I’d like to get into. I have not had that likelihood to try this.”
The ‘Luther’ star went on to clarify that though there’s no person he’d notably wish to work with on such a mission, it is the ”story” that pulls him to the opportunity of a romantic comedy and needs to discover a script that might ”transfer hearts with love and romance”
Asked if he has a dream co-star in thoughts, he stated: ”No, nobody notably. Really it is extra in regards to the story, discovering that nice story that might transfer hearts with love and romance and all these emotions.
”But by way of an actress, I can not consider any names proper now. I simply assume doing a movie like that might be the one.”
Idris added that he enjoys ”advanced characters” and likes that he is not at all times solid in a selected sort of position.
