Gigi Hadid got some body ink.
No, the supermodel didn’t get any permanent tattoos imprinted on her money-maker, but she did have an eventful time with longtime friends while getting some henna designs on their hands. The gorgeous celeb took to Instagram to share the elaborate designs while also reflecting on the meaningful relationships she shares with her gal-pals, and even made sure to shut down any haters who would question her heritage.
“Had the best night with some of my oldest friends last night. Feel so blessed to have a foundation of friendships that will bond us for the rest of our lives. The way we can all sit around and talk like the clock’s been turned back 10 years is the most beautiful and grounding feeling,” Hadid wrote in the caption.

She continued, “It’s so important to be with the families that raised you and the friends that were raised with yours. So much love in my heart this holiday season !!!!! (& before you go all ‘cultural appropriation’ in my comments, check out the last name. Hadid. Half Palestinian & proud of it).”
(We all know that Gigi is the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, but for those who are unaware, Hadid’s father is Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid.)
Along with praising her Palestinian background, Hadid took to Twitter to cheer on her mom, who faced some skepticism surrounding her Lyme disease diagnosis from her castmates. Retweeting Bravo’s post sharing Yolanda’s response to the ladies’ comments about her illness, Gigi wrote, “U GO MAMMA.”
On Tuesday’s episode of the Bravo series, co-star Lisa Rinna appeared to question the validity of her ailment when she read to cast members Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump a definition of Munchausen syndrome, a mental disorder in people “feign disease, illness, or psychological trauma to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves.”
“I don’t blame Rinna, Kyle or LVDP—I understand it and feel sorry to see my battle be such a point of weakness for them,” she wrote. “If I let fear of what others say about me creep into my mind, I probably would not be where I am today.”
And while Foster’s post remained positive (love and light), she did throw in a little shade. “I’m probably the only Housewife in the entire franchise that uses this platform to bring awareness in the world rather than just money in my pocket.”
Oh snap!
(E! Online and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
