Well, this look is sure to ruffle some feathers.
FKA Twigs stepped out for a private viewing of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London today sporting a parrot-feather-meets-peacock-tail confection and we, well, can’t peel our eyes away just yet. The multihued gown—from McQueen’s spring-summer 2008 collection—features an elaborate feathered neckpiece (all the better to match that rainbow feather print) and sheer, floor-sweeping skirt.
And brace yourselves, because we have to admit that we think Twigs kind of owns the look. From her slicked top knots, to her crimson lips and towering black paltforms, Robert Pattinson‘s main squeeze definitely came ready to make a statement in rainbow. (Done and done.)
Honestly, isn’t this what Alexander McQueen is all about? Ornate prints and textures, unexpected color pairings and, well, thinking outside of the high fashion box. So in effect, this is Twigs paying high tribute to the late great designer.
But OK, you tell us: What do you think of Twigs’ winged couture?
