“Do you remember the 21st night of September?”
Well you should, because Earth, Wind & Fire‘s classic jam “September” depicts this as an amazing godd-mn night.
That’s right, Sept. 21st is officially Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” Celebration Day, a holiday we just made up because we love this throwback song that much.

This track is so fire that it’s OK that they’re dressed in these outfits, with crazy, trippy camera work distracting us from any possible Monday blues.
Doesn’t this song just make you want to dance around a kitchen table with your friends in a romantic comedy? Or slowly rally at a wedding reception for your second cousin? Man, it’s great.
“Do you remember the 21st night of September?

Translation? This night’s going to be the best.
Do you know how excited you have to be to sing “ba de ya de ya de ya” over and over again? Hella excited, people. This song’s going to help us all get our grooves back to finish out the month strong.
“Say do you remember? Dancing in September. Never was a cloudy day.”
We’ll definitely remember that now, Earth, Wind & Fire. Thanks for the reminder. Let’s give pause to the most random date ever, just because they told us to. Any reason to celebrate a Monday is fine with us.
