Dwayne Johnson’s movie helped a boy save his brother’s life.
The 45-year-old star was thrilled to hear 10-year-old Jacob O’Connor had managed to save his two-year-old brother by watching ‘San Andreas’ and learning CPR and chest compressions from the film.
Dwayne wrote on Instagram: ”This story grabbed my heart. 10yr Jacob O’Connor found his little 2yr old brother, Dylan laying facedown in their pool. He pulled his little brother out and started CPR & chest compressions.
”He saved little Dylan’s life. Jacob said he learned how to do this by watching me in his favorite movie, SAN ANDREAS. I’m so amazed and impressed by this little 10yr old boy’s heroic actions and calm instincts in the middle of that kind of emergency distress. I now need to shake young Jacob’s hand… (sic)”
Meanwhile, Dwayne previously admitted he was an ”awkward” teenager.
He said: ”I had an awkward phase when I was 13, 14 years old. I was trying to find my identity and trying to settle into my identity. I loved sweets. Every day after school I would go get doughnuts and I would go get cookies. I have an adverse reaction to sugar and chocolate, where I would break out in all these pimples. You could just imagine that, with my curly half-Afro …
”Being comfortable in my own skin just took a lot of time. When you finally are comfortable with who you are, warts and all, it really allows for a greater confidence in life. Being comfortable with who I am was probably one of the greatest and best breakthroughs that I’ve ever had in my life.”
