“If you look at Bill Clinton, far worse – mine were words, his were actions,” Donald Trump said during tonight’s presidential debate, in an attempt to throw that perspective on charges Trump’s lewd 2005 bus talk with Billy Bush was an admission of sexual assault.

“What he did to women, there’s never been anybody in the history of politics in this nation that’s been so abusive to women,” Trump said of Bill Clinton, as the former POTUS sat in the audience at the town hall debate.

“Hillary Clinton attacked those same women and attacked them viciously,” he said, adding that four of them were Trump’s guests in the debate audience tonight.

“So don’t tell me about words. Absolutely, I apologize for those words,” Trump said. “But it is things that people say.  But what President Clinton– he was impeached, he lost his license to practice law, he had to pay an $850,000 fine to one of the women, Paula Jones, who is here tonight.”

“And when Hillary brings up a point like that, words that I said 11 years ago, I think it’s disgraceful and I think she should be ashamed of herself, to tell you the truth.”

Clinton discussed the 2005 audio/video tape, released by Washington Post on Friday, in answer to a question by one of the moderators.
