ABC’s General Hospital was named Outstanding Drama Series at the 44th annual Daytime Emmy Awards tonight, and on the 20th anniversary of her famous coming out on the sitcom Ellen, Ellen DeGeneres’ The Ellen DeGeneres Show won for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment.
The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Scott Clifton made Daytime Emmy history by winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and becoming the first actor to have won awards throughout his career in the Younger Actor, Supporting Actor and Lead Actor categories.
Steve Harvey, who wasn’t in attendance, won two Daytime Emmys, for Outstanding Game Show Host (Family Feud) and Outstanding Talk Show/Informative Host (Steve Harvey).
The Dr. Oz Show won for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative, and ABC’s Good Morning America was named Outstanding Morning Program. Jeopardy! took the prize for Outstanding Game Show. The women of CBS’ The Talk took were named Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts, beating, among others, The View and Live with Kelly.

Susan Lucci introduced a video tribute to the late Agnes Nixon, creator of All My Children and One Life to Live. Tim Allen presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to longtime Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Mary Hart.
The ceremony, which kicked off with a performance of Rent‘s “Seasons of Love” sung by a choir of soap stars, was hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood, and was live-streamed from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Facebook Live and Twitter.
