The pop star has teamed up with officials at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to show the horrors displaced kids face in the promo for Duele Demasiado (It Hurts Too Much), which aims to raise funds for, and awareness of, the issue.
In the clip, Bisbal is featured standing in a war-torn neighbourhood, interspersed with footage of child refugees.
“Like the song says, it hurts me too much to know that there are millions of innocent children who are suffering,” Bisbal explains in a UNICEF statement. “This comes from my heart as an homage to their bravery, and with the desire and the true hope that together, it is possible to achieve a more dignified life for them; a life in which they can enjoy their childhood.”
All proceeds from the new single, which will be included on Bisbal’s upcoming album, Hijos del Mar (Children of the Sea), will benefit UNICEF efforts to aid youths affected by global conflicts or natural disasters, reports Billboard.com.
