The ugly holiday sweater parties are over—now what?
In case you’re like us and hate wearing an item only once, there is a way to reuse Grandma’s special gift. To do this, one must channel the queen of all things fierce—and in this instance—festive, Beyoncé.
Sure, Bey looks a little over the top in her Christmas get-up, but she’s wearing all the elements of one outstanding, perfect-for-any-occasion outfit. The first thing you must do? Remove the tinsel or opt for a tartan or plaid long cardigan. (Yes, that thrift store find or Grandpa’s old sweater works just fine.)

To make the look festive yet stylish, mix the sweater’s plaid with a bodycon midi-dress of another print variety. Mixing prints is a tried-and-true street-style technique and will divert the eyes away from the unattractive attributes of the sweater. Top it off with geometric sunnies that’ll look just as good with this cold-weather ensemble as it does at a music festival and combat boots for a nice contrast. The Santa hat, err, pom-pom beanie is an added bonus!
