Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston both took time out of their busy filming schedules to visit a children’s hospital in Australia, both of them dressed as their Thor: Ragnarok characters Thor and Loki.
The two Hollywood A-listers dropped by Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane, taking a break from filming the third Thor movie, and their ultimate ‘frenemy’ Asgard god characters put aside their differences to entertain the young patients – or “the real superheroes”, as they called them – as they arrived on Tuesday (August 23rd).
The 33 year old Australian actor, who plays Thor, took an Instagram pic with a youngster as wrote: “Met the real superheroes of the world at @ladycilentochildrenshospital. A huge shout out to all the brave kids who are an inspiration to all of us!”
Hiddleston was donned in Loki’s moody outfit, but his character’s usual cloudy demeanour was absent he met the young patients, as well as posing for selfies with nurses and hospital staff.

Hemsworth wore casual clothes, but did bring Thor’s hammer Mjolnir and the character’s wig with him, and the photos he took were shared to the hospital’s Facebook page.
A parent of one of the young patients, Calyn Hoad, told Australian news outlet ABC: “It was so awesome. Calyn’s face just lit up. It was just magic, absolute magic.”
Marvel actors such as Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland have a long tradition of making such visits.
Filming for Thor: Ragnarok – expected to be released in cinemas on October 27th, 2017 – has been taking place in Australia for the last few weeks. Hemsworth has been sure to engage with the fans, attending several meet-and-greet sessions since filming began.
