Oh hey, John Travolta Robert Shapiro!
The first footage from American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson aired tonight during American Horrror Story, and it was a nice quick look at John Travolta’s portrayal of Robert Shapiro, one member of O.J. Simpson’s “Dream Team” of lawyers.
The short clip features Robert explaining to O.J. Simpson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) that he likes to ask his clients a question. Of course, the short teaser doesn’t tell us what the question is, but we do get a nice look at how very different this Travolta role is going to be, especially in the facial department.

The People v. O.J. Simpson goes inside the story of O.J. Simpson’s murder trial and the cast is kind of crazy fantastic, from Travolta and Gooding Jr. to Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), Selma Blair (Kris Jenner), David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian), Connie Britton (Faye Resnick), and Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran).
FX also debuted several other short teasers for the miniseries, and while we don’t get to see any other faces, we do get to hear some dialogue from Gooding, Paulson, and Vance.
While these don’t give much away, they do look incredibly cool, and the more we see of American Crime Story, the more excited we get.
