Charli XCX has unveiled her new single ‘claws’.
The 27-year-old singer has dropped the newest monitor off her forthcoming album ‘how i am feeling now’, which she is writing, recording and releasing within the lockdown.
Sharing the information on social media, she wrote: ”CLAWS IS OUT NOW … ARTWORK BY @CWYNARS … STREAM CLAWS (sic)”
Charli held a ballot along with her followers to ask them to assist her select which monitor to launch subsequent and thanked them for uplifting her ”inventive selections”.
She added: ”THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE FOR THIS SONG & FOR HELPING ME MAKE MY CREATIVE DECISIONS ON THIS ALBUM … IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME THAT UR ALL INVOLVED … (sic)”
‘claws’ has been described as a ”brief, sharp burst of power” that ”crackles with futuristic spirit”. The tune has been produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs and explores ”the sensation of being near the one you like day by day”.
Charli had beforehand introduced she is releasing an album while in self-isolation.
