As if there was any doubt that Caitlyn Jenner would positively nail race-day style.
Fresh from her triumphant showing at the 23rd Annual ESPY Awards last night, the E! star attended yet another major sporting event in Southern California—opening day at Del Mar, which marks the official start of the racetrack’s summer season.
Caitlyn wowed in a fabulous wide-brimmed hat and a curve-hugging red and white printed wrap dress (we’re guessing DVF, but the ask is still out), and it appears that the moment she set foot on the grounds, all eyes were upon her.

The former Olympian also carried a Versace purse, the famed Italian fashion house having also been responsible for the show-stopping white gown she wore to the ESPYs.
In addition to touring the paddocks with Joe Harper, president of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, we’re told that Caitlyn sipped red wine and enjoyed the spectacle with five of her Veuve-sipping girlfriends in a private suite—and we’re told she even placed a small bet.
And won! (So literally, Caitlyn FTW.)
The star of the upcoming I Am Cait was honored Wednesday with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, her decision to fully live life as a transgender woman having made waves in the LGBT community, the sporting world and beyond the moment she went public.

“The last few months have been a whirlwind of so many different experiences and emotions,” Caitlyn said during her speech. “But to tell you the truth, it seems like every time I turn around in life, I’m putting myself in these high-pressure situations—competing in the games, raising a family, but I’ve never felt more pressure than I have in my life than I have in the last couple of months. Picking out this outfit—OK girls, I get it.”
But aside from her smiling plea that the fashion police go easy on her, she acknowledged what a hopeful and important time this truly is.
“My plea to you tonight is to join me in making this one of your issues as well…Learn as much as you can about another person,” she continued. “I trained hard. I competed hard. And for this, people respected me. But this transition was harder on me than anything I could have imagined. And that’s the case for so many others besides me. For that reason alone, trans people deserve something vital. They deserve your respect.”
I Am Cait premieres July 26 at 8 p.m., only on E!
