Following a DUI arrest earlier this year, R&B star Bobby Brown checked back into rehab last week, People reports. The 43-year-old singer was charged with three misdemeanors after his March detainment and later copped a plea deal to avoid additional jail time.
“Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour,” his attorney Christopher Brown said in a statement. “Bobby is doing well and receiving services that comply with his agreement with the State of California.”
This has been a turbulent year for Brown. His ex-wife Whitney Houston died in February and he married his manager Alicia Etheredge in June. His tumultuous relationship with daughter Bobbi Kristina has also been under public scrutiny. However, Bobbi Kristina tweeted on Wednesday, “I love my father, very much and wish him well in all.”
