Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman Take on Doomsday in New Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer

There’s a new villain—and a new hero—in town.

Ben Affleck stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday to premiere a new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He plays Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Henry Cavill reprises his role as Kal-El/ Clark Kent/Superman and Amy Adams returns as Lois Lane. Newcomers include Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, among several others.

The trailer shows Bruce and Clark meeting for the first time, and neither checks his ego at the door. After debating the pros and cons of Batman and Superman, Bruce tells Clark he’s not a fan of the Man of Steel. “Maybe it’s the Gotham City in me. We just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns.” Enter Lex, a businessman who is determined to defeat Superman. “Boys! Bruce Wayne meets Clark Kent. Ha! I love it,” he says. “I love bringing people together.”

Sure he does.

As Bruce and Clark’s rivalry intensifies, Lex promises their battle will be “the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world.” Wonder Woman makes a surprise appearance at the end of the trailer moments after Doomsday slides down the side of a skyscraper and wreaks havoc on Gotham City. “Is she with you?” Superman asks. Batman replies, “I thought she was with you.” Together the trio takes on Doomsday, who is responsible for Superman’s “death” in the comics.

Zack Snyder is the director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Other cast members include Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Holly Hunter as Finch, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa will also make minor appearances as Victor Stone/Cyborg and Arthur Curry/Aquaman, respectively.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters March 25.
