Hollywood A-list couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly house-hunting for a new residence in central London. The reason for the potential move is rumoured to down to Jolie’s desire, as a humanitarian and activist, to become involved in European politics in the future.
“They’re house-hunting in London because Jolie wants to slowly immerse herself in E.U. politics,” a source told Us Weekly was the reason that the Jolie-Pitts were looking to move to the English capital, and are thought to have started their search as early as last year.

The couple are said to have looked at a 6 bedroomed mansion in Westminster worth $ 39 million back in June this year, in addition to a similarly sized property near Marylebone – quite close to the famous celeb hangout restaurant the Chiltern Firehouse, apparently – but are not yet believed to have made any further decisions about their future.

This is apparently because of Jolie’s busy schedule and her desire to continue to make an impact in the world of directing, as well as the large amount of money involved. “It’s a huge investment. Neither of them wants to throw down that amount of cash,” said the source, adding that Jolie didn’t want to make “a sudden career change… [and] doesn’t want to lose her directing momentum.”
Jolie and Pitt are parents to six children – adopted kids Zahara, Pax and Maddox as well as biological children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox – also have a property in the south of France in addition to a house in New Orleans, which has been on the market since June this year. Normally, they reside in Los Angeles.
Jolie is directing the forthcoming movie that stars both herself and her husband, By The Sea, which will open the AFI Festival in Hollywood on November 5th.
