Angela and Catherine Paura have joined Alcon Entertainment as co-presidents of worldwide marketing. The sisters join from their partnership in Capstone Global Marketing & Research Group a marketing research and consulting firm. Catherine co-founded and for 15 years was CEO of influential marketing research firm Nielsen NRG. Anglea, formerly NRG’s COO, worked with Alcon on such releases as The Blind Side and Dolphin Tale.
They fill the slot vacated by former Alcon President of Worldwide Marketing & Distribution Richard Ingber, who in October exited his post after 14 years with the Warner Bros-based company. Ingber, who also produced Dolphin Tale, is resuming his eponymous Richard Ingber Entertainment marketing firm while staying on as consultant on Alcon’s Hillsong – Let Hope Rise and its Point Break reboot.
The two will report to Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
“We are thrilled to officially join the Alcon family. We are excited to work on the company’s varied slate of features in 2015 and beyond,” the sisters said in a statement. “Moreover, we look forward to collaborating with Sue Kroll and Blair Rich to develop the creative blueprints to optimize the box office for Alcon’s movies.”
Alcon recently took a hit with the Johnny Depp sci-fier Transcendence, which bowed in April to just $ 10.8 million domestic.
